雅思口语考试Part 1一开始，考官往往会从三个必考话题中选取一个进行提问，而“学习或工作”就是其中之一。比如考官会通过问 “Do you work or are you a student？”来确认考生的情况，然后再根据考生的回答，进行拓展提问。
如果考生一开始回答该问题时答案比较简短，是完全可以接受的。但对于同一个话题中的其他相关问题，还是建议考生进行适当的细节补充。比如可以说明工作的具体性质和内容，学某个科目和专业日常要做什么，或者为什么选择这个工作和专业等内容。
1 Do you work or are you a student?

Currently I am a student and I am studying at Peking Normal University,but as it's the summer holiday I'm not actually attending any classes.I'm studying at home,going out with friends,and doing a bit of part-time work tutoring a friend of a nephew a few evenings each week.

使用currently而不是常用的now，可以增加连接词的多样性。
