Nowadays, there are a number of international organizations helping the development of some developing countries in a variety of ways. People have different views about whether those institutes should offer their aids financially or practically.

Some people believe that financial aid is essential for the development of the countries in need. The construction and maintenance of a huge number of infrastructures in these countries require a large amount of investment. For example, roads and railways need to be constructed to allow goods to be transported and delivered easily. Besides, people in these countries are clamoring for more hospitals and schools for better healthcare and education. Apart from that, factories and agricultural facilities should be established to boost the productivity of these countries, so that the overall economy can be improved. That is why they need a huge amount of money from the international organizations.

Others hold the view that something practical and advice should be provided to those countries. Even if the money was given and infrastructures were well-established, there should be experts and professionals for them to function. For instance, without technicians, the transportation system that has been built can hardly be well-maintained. Plus, doctors, nurses and teachers should be sent to the clinics and educational system respectively so that they could run normally. Moreover, it is necessary to have engineers and experts specializing in agriculture assigned to the industrial sectors and the farms, so that the development of industry and food production can be ensured. Therefore, practical help and advice from experts is more crucial.

In my opinion, both investment and practical aid, as well as particular advice, are equally important. Not only should international organizations issue funds to help the developing countries to establish basic infrastructures, but also they need to provide supporting teams and advice to make sure that those investments would not be in vain.
